Thing-a-Week 49: Dapper Dinos

December 3, 2011

I’ve started going to the Art Gallery of Alberta’s weekly drop-in art workshops. Over a two-hour course, they introduce you to a certain medium, demonstrate some techniques, and then set you loose to explore and create your own brand of art with them. It’s a great opportunity to work with new materials and share your work with fellow artists.

This week, we created some mixed media Artist Trading Cards. What better chance to use my trademark dinosaurs? These are done with a combination of india ink, watercolour pencil, and patterned collage paper for the bow ties.

Hee hee! I love these. Good expressions on the dinos. And the bowtie details are super cool!
