Why you should register a Goodreads account

August 16, 2010

Goodreads is a community for bibliophiles and literary enthusiasts. Simply put, it’s a community service that can track which books you’re currently in, what you’ve already read, and what’s been sitting in your unread shame-pile for far too long. It’s also got a sizable community of readers with whom you can share reviews, get advice on what to read next, and discuss the books you’re in the midst of.

I’ve been using Goodreads for over a year, and at its most basic, it’s a great tool for keeping track of your personal reading progress and watching how your tastes and habits have evolved. The only problem is that while Goodreads has a huge community, not many people I know personally use it. Setting up an account is free and simple, so take a look, and add me as a contact.
