Rural America’s zombie preparedness action plan

June 29, 2010

Okeechobee County in Florida likes to be prepared. That’s why they keep official government documentation on what to do in case of a zombie apocalypse.

This 75-page document outlines in detail the stages of outbreak, and the steps that should be taken to contain the threat and maintain public order and safety. This includes evacuation, shelter, security, government continuity, stability, clean-up, and everything in between.

Allegedly, this isn’t necessarily a completely serious document, but rather a “worst-case-scenario” emergency preparedness plan. After all, if your town can survive a zombie apocalypse, it’s ready for anything the natural world can throw at you, right?

In case of zombie outbreak, always be sure to have someone on hand to handle your finances.
